Aviation, maritime and land transport are drawing on the same limited pool of feedstock, capital and certification capacity. The Houston Brief takes that argument to North America in one focused afternoon, ahead of International Future Fuels Week in Singapore, 14 to 17 June 2027.
The programme opens with the Biofutures Platform from Gerard Ostheimer, CEO of Molecule Group, followed by S&P Global's latest biofuels outlook. Michael Wang, Department Director and Distinguished Fellow at Argonne National Laboratory, then covers the latest GREET LCA updates, the carbon intensity numbers that feed directly into offtake pricing and eligibility.
The middle of the afternoon is about deployment. Sachin Joshi, Chief Commercial Officer at Velocys, covers Fischer-Tropsch deployment. Surya Guduru, Head of Strategy and Business Development at Emvolon, argues that future fuels have followed the refinery playbook of building big and waiting years for financing, while thousands of US landfills, farms and oil fields flare methane that is too small to pipe. His case is to scale out, not up.
After a coffee break, the closing panel asks what it takes to build bankable future fuel markets across North America and beyond, with Gregory Dolan, Principal at Pivot Methanol. Networking closes the day at 5:00 pm.
